Fax ATA Infrastructure Migration & Reset Instructions

Beginning July 14, 2021, public fax ATA connectivity will be migrated to new hosted infrastructure. This move is to provide more security and scalability.
If you are experiencing issues with your ATA devices after this date, please follow the steps below based on the device’s serial number to reset your device.
 
 
 
To reset a fax enabled device whose serial number starts with a "D", the process is as follows:
  • Unplug the device from the power.
  • Take a small-pointed object like a pen or paperclip and press and hold the reset button (RST) on the back of the device.
  • While still holding the reset, plug the device back into the power.
  • Continue holding the reset button for 20 seconds after lights blink/flash and then release.
  • Wait 10-15 minutes for the device to fully handshake with our hosted infrastructure then retest.
 
 
To reset a fax enabled device whose serial number starts with a "VT", the process is as follows:
  • Take a small-pointed object like a pen or paperclip and press and hold the reset button (RST) on the back of the device for approximately 10 seconds.
  • Release the button (the status light should start to flash red upon release).
  • Wait 10-15 minutes for the device to fully handshake with our hosted infrastructure then retest.
